First of all, you kill haplesshacker.

Secondly, you should go into your windows start button and under all programmes and then under system tools use the system restore programme to revert your machine to a date before the infection.

This works sometimes only.

If not, I would get a copy of Norton Internet Security and run a full system scan, hopefully it will find and repair the trojan, it usually does.

If this fails there is always the win-wash programme but this is a severe and final solution requiring major backing-up of everything as win-wash wipes so much data.

Hope that helps Andy.

Norton is one of the worst things you can ever install on your PC.

Memory and processor hungry, a waste of money and no better than any of the free software.

Personally I'd recommend AVG

I'm really not feeling any love here at the moment.

As I've explained, the initial link was put on this forum by another forumer. I found the product within that intial link. I then posted the link to the product on that site.

I have apologised for any heartache caused, several times, and I asked for the link to be removed. Which was done.

This was a genuine error. Though I feel a little mick taking might be going on here, I do feel slightly guilty. So less of the guilt trips please guys. I know it's probably a little tongue in cheek. But I'm feeling a little sensitive just now!! ;)

Norton is horse poo. AVG is fine enough and Spybot takes care of the rest but there is never a substitute for being careful in the first place...
