How can I be adjusted up?

Just got an email via howdidido that my handicap has been adjusted.

Last season I went from 8.4 at season beginning, to end at 6.2, on the way winning a couple of singles medals, the h'cap Championship, and a 36 hole stableford at my Aberdeenshire club when I was back there for a week, shooting gross level par in the second round, this being virtually the last counting card I put in for the season.

Now it appears that my handicap has been reviewed at season's end, and I've got a shot added to 7.2!

I was expecting a review, but down to 5, or maybe even 4 considering my scores for the season.

Surely this can't be right?

I think someone has made a mistake. If you've played that well and have recorded your away scores at your home club, then there's something wrong with this decision. I'd challenge it.

Ask for a copy of your playing record for the year off the computer. That should clarify all your scores and highlight your downward trend.

Sounds like a mistake to me - the report the annual review produces give you a list of people it suggests may wish to be looked at - if someone has played in enough qualifying rounds then they should be left alone....It looks like the handicap person has just tarred everyone with the computer suggested brush...

I would go back to the handicap man/committee and ask them why and/or to revise the decision or have a nice handicap to win everything this year!!! Tell them this and at least you'l have a clear concience!!

BTW you can only get adjusted under annual review by the club to 5.5, only the county can adjust people into Cat 1 (5.4 or less) or in Cat 1....

First visit to the club this year, and seems like it's a bug in the How Did I do system, as nothing has been adjusted into their website from the club since season end.

So still 6.2 and poised for an attack once the season kicks off

If you dont like the driver, keep it to smack Calderwood over the heid with after giving Derek Dung a new contract!
