Money List Winner
Thats probably a reserved way of describing my game presently....
After going out last week and shooting 4 under my handicap and getting cut i go out this morning in our Medal and have a Mare.....
I pulled my tee shot on the first and hacked my way to the green for a DB and the start of a landslide......
I then went Par,Bogie,DB,DB,Bogie,Par,Bogie,Bogie, to turn 10 over and have 2/3's of my shots used......
I put the head down on the 10th and went Par,Bogie,Par,Bogie, 9,Par,Birdie,Bogie,9......
To finish with a back 9 of 13 over......So a total of 23 over gross....... 8 over Nett.
After the blow up 9 on our 14th i new that any chance of even the buffer had diminished so i started practicing with my driver which resulted in more lost balls.
A nightmare would be an understatement.....
My putting today crucified me and there was way too much pressure on my short game from wayward shots......
Playing with 2 low single lads (2 and 3 handicappers) they were full of praise for me saying that i kept grinding away and that there is a game in me to play to single figures....Im not sure how but I managed to impress them for that comment.......
There opinion was that i have plenty of power and i do lots of things right and if i can put the effort in then they are certain i have the game to go low.......They have promised to play more with me and try and bring me on in my game which is really positive feedback......
Why the hell is it so hard for a mid handicapper to gain consistency?
Is it something that is gained through time and experience?
A tired and sore chappy!
