at long last i think i might finaly have found a groove, 3 rounds in sucession under 90, ok that is not so great in itsself, however im playing currently off 21.2 and my home course is par 72 with a slope of 135 and a cr of 71.2, so shooting under 90 1x 86, 1 x87, and a 88 is 5 below handicap and i can handle that

now i just have to take it forward into competiton which is the next big step, the secret so far , i have left the driver in the bag, 3w of the tee, and steady hybrids and 5i down the fairway for 2nd shots, really practiced my putting and concentrating on not making any 3 putts

so far so good , just got the nerves and pressure of comp to deal with now, but target for the season of low teens h/cap looks like it could be realistic .

back out again tomorrow early doors , fingers crossed , just waiting for the big bite in the butt of reality ha.

sounds like your using a sensible approach and therfore limiting the things that can go wrong, never a bad thing. 5 shots under your handicap is great at the start of the season as well, puts you in good stead to play well win a few things and come down .

well done

Very nice going, what is the next step for you? more of the same or back to the driver?

more of same, possibly start to use 3w off deck a little more and introduce full shots with the hybrid not chokeing down on grip so much, driver is staying on range till i can hit a controlled draw every time as that is what it is set up for PING k15 , but all in all enjoying myself at the moment

Always good to hit a run of form. Mine is patchy at the moment and I've always been streaky. If I do hit a hot patch I can shoot low and frequently. However the gaps in between can be longer than Woods going without a win
