Whilst wasting time in Hong Kong, I wandered into numerous golf shops for a nosey. Some of the stuff they have in these places we just don't get, and some of it is silly money. They also get some tour issue stuff, like Scotties, and forged vokeys. It's always nice having a look at some of the more obscure Japanese forgings, and also to see some of the Honma stuff, which is mainly hideous.

A few things caught my eye though, as being worth a mention.

These Cally irons, Legacy, nothing special from the back, but from the top, the nicest looking iron Cally has made in a while. Thin ish top edge, and not much offset.

This somewhat weird TM driver. It sits more than a bit closed, and is a bit of a strange shape too.

Or if you want an offset hybrid, is this enough for you?

Williams F! make a range of golf kit. Drivers, woods, hybrids, irons, and gold plated putters. The hybrids were ok, but at £500 each I wasn't going to try to bring one home.
They still make a non conforming driver for this market too, with suitable sticker. I guess Chinese business men just want distance, and don't give a stuff about the rules.

I did buy some conforming Williams golf balls though. They just have really cool packing. Tried one out last night, and was quite impressed. Especially off the putter.

Gold driver anyone? Bit of an issue with glare though.

I like these face masks. They would go well with a sombrero.

And this row of Titleist bags stood out. Like opal fruits. Rick could match his bag to his gear, on a daily basis.

Want an insanely long grip on your putter? Like a belly putter for kids?

And finally my favourite. Cally make this, but you have to guess what it is for.

That gold driver is a snip at around £7055 mark :smirk:

..... And that hybrid looks more like a chipper with that amount of offset.

Mad as a box of frogs. The angles onsome of them clubs must produce some very interesting results :)

I have been around these shops myself. I saw that $58000 driver or something like it, unfortunately they wouldnt let me take it on the trackman. But Im sure it goes straight and 300+ yards every shot whatever your swing looks like.:fore:

:p

Are you still in HK Murph? Should go to Sai Kung Kau Sai Chau Golf club Public course so no 50k Joining fee, Views of the South China Sea on every hole!

They also had Mizuno golf balls for sale. They were more expensive than ProV1s, and came in two colours, a pure white, and a really naff looking bluish white.

Just a shame the new forum layout does nothing for the thread as it kills the photographs.

The Tourstage range of Bridgestone clubs is also awesome.
