Honest Golfers, I hope so?

more than once I've found clubs that have been forgotten by people playing two or three groups ahead of me. none have been hard to spot so why did those in the intervening groups not pick them up?

puzzled

Great believer in what goes around coming around so if this guy wants to put someone elses wedge in his bag cos its better than his then I'm sure somehwere down the line he'll get his dues. Deactivate the SC and once the new owner realises it doesn't work he'll be more tempted to hand it in. He can't flog it as it still won't work.

I always hand anything I find from putter covers to wallets and would hope other club members were as honest although deep down I'm pretty sure we all know a few who wouldn't

Just reminded me to phone the shop tomorrow, I found an 8 iron on the practice green, and forgot to pick it up as I had only taken three loose clubs, and we were putting for money. At least I can tell them where I stood it, so it didnt get stood on.

Funnily enough I found a mobile phone near the putting green yesterday, so chucked it in my bag then on my way past the clubhouse after 9 holes dropped it in there. After we had finished I found out the guy who lost it was playing there and he had just said great and will get it later, not so much as a thnaks or anything. How rude can you be??

Wifey and I went to Tesco's last Friday weekly shopping. On parking the car wifely said "look there's a hand-bag hanging on the trolly over there". I went over and got the handbag, we brought it into the customer services desk, where the lady took wifeys name and address. The lady had opened the bag to see if any names where in the purse. It belonged to a chinese lady.
While we were leaving the desk wifey spotted a chinese lady coming into the shop looking a bit flustered. Making her way to the dest wifey went over to the lady and it was her bag. The lady at the desk explained to her that my wife had found the bag outside and returned it to the shop, chinese lady took hold of the bag and just smiled and walked away. NOT SO MUCH AS A THANK YOU.............we couldn not beleive it. wifey wasnt looking anything, just a thank you. But NOTHING........

sad to say i have only been playing 18 months joined what i thought was reasonable club and looked forward to the honesty which this game promotes itself on. In my first year i have had a galvin green jacket taken out of the club changing rooms and a new TM Pitching wedge not returned. so much for honesty!

I thought I had lost my Skycaddie after leaving it on the roof of my car and driving home. I came to get it out of my bag the next time I played and it wasn't there. I went into the pro shop and somebody had handed it in. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the same happens for you, it's not a nice feeling thinking you've just thrown all that money away.
