Hole in One or not?

For FRANCE sake, read the thread again!

No one said it was a hole in one, the guy who did it even said it wasn't a hole in one.

Fabian is asking what your opinion is.

SIMPLES.

What's France got to do with it?

Would it have been a hole in one in the Dordogne??

"What do you think?"
Just telling the guy what I was thinking, :D

I did the same at Blakes GC in Essex.
Hole #8 Approx 120 yds. It's an island green.

Topped my 1st off the tee straight into the water....did a Barnes Wallace....2 bounces...hopped onto the green, just missed the hole for a hole in one and carried on through the back into the water again.

Plopped another one on the tee.. one bounce and straight in the hole!! :D

Easy par and avoided the drinks as it wasn't a hole in one....

He also knocked one OOB at the previous hole Par 5 and got a birdie with his second ball. So was one over for the two holes with two lost balls.. still not bad shooting

Funny old game!!

Partner the other day had a hole in one on the wrong hole! So he played two holes in just the one shot! :D ;) :p LOL

Ray Taylor did this at Royal Cinque Ports.
Long par 3, he had hit a 5 wood initially and made a right Horlicks of it, big pull left into some really long jungle. Put another ball down, swapped to a 4 iron and hit a low scuddy shot that never got more than about 3 feet off the deck. Hit the front of the green, rolled right up the back and went in for a 3. He's the jammiest git I know on a golf course.

That happens out here too as we have 2 holes on each green :D

Should the hole not in use be on your line you take nearest point of relief

I know in this case the ball was OOB, we have a par 3 that as a overhead cables on it if hit you have to play the shot again would this be classed as genuine hole in one on the card you would put a 1 but you have had a a second shot at the hole?
