The LMA need to sort out this joke of managers leaving just cos they loose a few, not everyone can win!

If we were talking about teams of 6 year olds its different... Someone has to loose a game, someone has to come second, third etc

The world of association football teams playing league football need to start behaving like grownups.

Who is exactly to blame? I do not know but it seems that the managers are the easiest to blame, payoff and hire.

I certainly wouldnt want to do it for a living but it seems crazt but they do seem to easily get a job elsewhere also...

I would!! Hodgson will have got a very handsome pay out for having not achieved the goals set out for him.

He'll walk into another equally high paid job.

Liverpool are becoming the new Newcastle! The fans only respect the Manager if he played for them.

Dalgleish will only take Liverpool backwards. Comolli buying and selling - poor appointment that. Dalgleish - not managed for too long.

Perhaps Gerrard should become the Manager in the summer. The fans love him - that's qualification enough. Mind you, he'd need an assistant - how about Fowler?

Don't talk shite Warrior. Shankly Houllier and Rafa never played for us but they still got the respect they deserved because they earnt it, by winning trophies and fighting for our identity within football and the media.

As for Commoli i agree he shouldn't be there but i tell you now, Commoli and Hodgson were signed by Christian Purslow the leverage buy out money man with no football knowledge or experience of being in football.The same fella who was put in charge to recoup RBS investment and secure £100m investment by easter last year and failed. Only then was Martin Broughton appointed to sell the club.

Once again, highlights the problem with Liverpool - living in the past. You're only as good as the 11 that are on the pitch TODAY!! Not what happened 30 years ago. Palace had a decent side 20 years ago - we'd have been in Europe if it hadn't been for the European ban but I won't go there. The 11 players that are on the pitch now are rubbish - very much the same as Liverpool.

Too much reliance on Gerrard - end of. When he doesn't perform, there are no other players to step up.

Torres only turns it on against Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal. Any other game and he looks like he'd rather be shopping!

Reina is class, no question, but his defense is woeful and any top class keeper is only as good as his defense. Ask Cech.

Why has Dalgleish been appointed?? Is it a short term thing or is he charged with bringing the glory days back to Anfield?? The fans wanted him in the summer didn't they?? Mourinho was available. I know which manager I'd want.

Since shankly, Paisley Fagan Dalglish Souness and Evans have all played for us, Houllier and Benitez never and that was my point regards to the newcastle jibe.

Dalglish is their until the summer so the board can appoint their own man and give him the full pre season to start his rebuilding work which makes sense.

Torres and Reina and many other players are unhappy with the tactics and training methods set by Hodgson and his merry men. With the same defence minus konchesky last season we never conceded as many goals as we have done this season. Torres only turns it on when he gets a decent service!

When Rafa was sacked the club had so many problems with the owners and banks that it wouldn't have made a difference who the manager was, the problems were way deeper than the manager.

Truth be known no top manager would be prepared to risk their reputation at a club going through so many problems as we were at the time so our standards had to drop and that's why we ended up wih hodgson, a yes man who will do as he is told and wont question anything.

My opinion we should never of got rid of Rafa when we did but the money men didn't think they could sell the club whilst he was in charge.

Hodgson wasn't sacked he left by mutual consent.

Unfortunately, fotball is all about results and some clubs are happy to finish 15th and not win away from home and play pathetic hoof football, others aspire to challenge for honours and european football.

Managers are paid a good whack and i'm sure hodgson will walk away with £2m+ pay off.

I don't remember all this who ha when benitez got sacked/left by mutual consent last season.

I think he'd lost the dressing room so had to be replaced. He hasn't been able to get the best out of the players he inherited and with the exception of Meireles his buys have failed to deliver for him.
Kenny aint the answer but hopefully will galvanise the team enough to secure survival.....not getting in to europe is seen usually as failure but the way they were playing under Roy just about every game was a 6 pointer relegation battle.

He's won many accolades and has 35yrs coaching experience how has he lost the dressing room?

Did he ever have the dressing room(apart from konchesky cole and Poulsen)?

Gareth Southgate hit the nail on the head when he said that EVERY striker at EVERY club goes down under 'challenges' like Aggers. Cheating is rife in all of football and until they introduce the required technology, a la cricket, it will continue.

I have one word for you ... GERRARD !!!!!!!! Stevie G is just as bad as any other player going down after falling over a shadow. And he is a nasty ba' bag and uses elbows and two footed challenges regularly. ITS ALL CHEATING !!!!!

What pisses me right off is once they get a penalty after going down when skiffed they score and remain standing with 5 team mates climbing oll over them celebrating the goal.
