Having set off from The Shire on Monday afternoon we arrived in Mordor late Monday evening, closely followed by our worldly possessions on Tuesday morning. I escaped down to the local golf club this afternoon to empty my purse of vast amounts of coinage = £600 for membership and locker.

Below is the club's website, and a fly-by vid which is quite good. Kevin Markham, who posts lots of pics on here, has also done some great pics of the course, which also gives a better idea of the elevation changes.

Hopefully see some of you for a game sometime.

Glad we haven't lost you to the continent, thought you were talking about Germany earlier in the year.

Cooden is going to be a bit of a drive this year :D

All the best,... looks nice. Happy 2016

played it a few times and liked the back 9 when i played a semi final there a few years ago, despite losing a ball in the middle of the fairway due to it being high tide.

Enjoy

Looks awesome Brian. Any particular reason you chose there over say Murcar?

When you're heading back towards Aberdeen the view isn't great, and its closed to members in the run up to, and during the Paul Lawrie. They had a good deal on, and I was almost swayed.

Very nice Bri,

Can you sign in 40 guests at once

I'm sure they'd welcome 40 gents, but that means leaving out all the Scousers...

Cruden Bay is only 10 miles away, and not much more expensive until you add in a joining fee. I didn't fancy coughing up over £1.1k on top of the £1.2k I paid out at the end of August.

Looks very nice indeed with some great views and lots of gorse, just looked at some links on your site, I can be in Aberdeen in 90 minutes from brum and either as a day trip or overnight it's only £86 return, and that includes my clubs :whoo:

Member guest day it is then

Played it and loved it. The 9th is an absolute beast!

I'll be up to visit the in laws who live in Maud at some point this year. I'll bring my bats and you can impart your local knowledge on me.
