I've played the "Emerald" course. First hole is shocking....then it gets quite good. There is a nice hole over a lake (can't remember, dog-leg left?) and some good tree-lined holes almost up to the end.
Didn't impress me hugely, but i.i.r.c. I had a bad round.
I've heard rumours about there being almost no members any-more; maybe it's gone the way of so many "hotel courses"
I think you'll have a good day out there regardless.
Sounds ideal. Play golf, have a few beers, watch world cup, sleep, play golf, go home. Can't go wrong really.
If it's 36 in a day, I'll be thinking of you when it hits 28 degrees in Shropshire tomorrow.
Just don't get to disheartened by the two holes either side of the massive pit/lake thing. (1st and 18th?)
I've played Hill Valley a few times and it's generally a good venue. Agree with the 1st and 18th down one side is suspect but work in progress I'm sure.
