Highest Score on a hole in a Comp

Just looking on howdidido and noticed a guy at our place had a 14 on a hole. Fair play to him he did not N/R but did not win The Comp!

Whjat is the highest score you have seen recorded in a Comp?

I had an 11 on a par4 at gillingham. Was playing 5 off the tee into a fairway bunker, 2 to get out, 8th into greenside bunker, 9th to get out, 2 putted.

I had a 14 a few weeks ago, it was really quite annoying....played the other 17 in 1 under....

had an 11 in the club champ years ago. Didnt include any penalty drops just me, the heather and my sandwedge exchanging blows. @£$**@@"!!

I started last years Captains 12, 13 which are two prety easy straight forward holes. The annoying thing about it was I ended up with net 81 and would have been out in the final group had I started bogey, bogey.

I had a 9 on the par 4th 9th at Crowborough in a medal one day which put me 8 over. Thought I'd blown my chances but still qualified for the next round the following day courtesy of a one over gross back 9.
Played like a spanner the next day though

Once, playing off 18 I managed a 22 on a par 4.

To be fair it was captains day which usually involved lots of booze.

It was the 5th hole and we had been having shots of black sambuca since the 1st @8am. Got to the 5th and just forgot how to swing a club.

Not sure what happened after as I virtually parred the course to finish with a net 79 and got cut 2 shots cos of the 22.

defo never forget that hole!

Our Captain had an 18 on a par 3 in a comp earlier this year. He got stuck in a bunker and eventually came out backwards only to duff it back in again and take another few to get out. 1 putted apparently.

I made a 14 on the Roman Road par 4 12th at the Celtic Manor. It was a horrible wet and windy day, but I took the positive that I two putted

I recorded a 13 on a par4 without losing a ball or taking a penalty shot. Boy that was some thick rough

I personally have took 14 on a Par 5 without any penalty shots . I have seen someone take 22 shots on a Par 4 before

Took 11 on our par 5 18th last sunday in a medal. One OOB and one in the water.

12 for me on a par 5 a few years ago. Drive OB, 3rd shot hit a power cable and got lost - replay without penalty. 2nd 3rd shot(!) OB, 5th shot (4th drive!) fairway, 6th shot OB, 8th shot bunker, 9th shot bunker, 10th shot another bunker!, 11th shot chip, 12th shot 10 foot putt!

I've seen a 34 on one hole, the guy did play left handed with a right handed 9 iron all the way though.

We had a 14 in our club champs this year, on a short par 3 too!!

I also have carded an 11 this year which I can't ever remember doing, good job I wasn't playing in anything too serious.

14 for me on a par 5 after hitting 3 balls out of bounds in a row and then when it went in bounds I took 3 out the bunker. would have parred it otherwise

I've seen a 22 - 8 balls out of bounds, one after the other. The guy in question kept aiming further and further left as he was slicing it so bad, but this just made him worse.

He was nicknamed Bananaman after that!

I think the worse for my score vs par was the 9 on the par 3 17th recently but I've had a few 10's but nothing more serious. Played with a guy this year off 9 who had five straight snowmen (8) on the card

A guy at our place took an 11 on our par 5 13th, that's the worst I've seen.

If that isn't bad enough he plays off 11, was 2 over at the turn and his back nine went...

So combined with the worst hole that is probably the worst back 9 I've seen. Makes some of my collapses look pretty good

I finished 6,6,6 (double, triple, single) twice in tow medals when +5 and +6 respectively on the 16th tee. At the time I thought it was the biggest collapse since Northern Rock but clearly I've been trumped
