sorry for the delay had to have my tea,wives turn to cook.i have just left a club i have been a member of for 5 years and will be joining another next week,its just outside wigan in a place called ashton in makerfield it is right alongside the m6.

Which course did you leave? Ashton is a nice course, but the 1k joining fee is a bit steep, and the 2 new holes aren't up to much yet. They'll be better in a few months.

Ps, you're not Papyt are you?, if not then look out for him at your new course..Nice fella, bit abrasive though...:ears:

Hi bluewolf,i was at houghwood but was getting fed up with the internal politics and never being able to just have a game when i wanted,there are 6 of us joining ashton as this is the only one close enough that you can just turn up and play without booking.I have played it a few times over the years and they had to have a pipe put through the course so a lot of work going on at present,apparently they are going to re-design the course over the next few years so should get better,the £1000 is a little steep but we can pay this in 4 installments so not to bad.what is papyt's name so i can keep an eye out for him,but to be honest every member i have spoken too seem to be ok and a friendly bunch..
