Hever Open today.....

I had a quick 9 with teegirl yesterday before dinner.........caught a bit of the sun too. :o

Dont you dare bring any rain to Forest Pines.

What puzzles me Smiffy is if you scored 19 points I would have thought that despite the awful conditions that you would have played the back 9 too :D ;)

Just shows what a bloody stupid game this is Bob.
Last Sunday at Nairn I had 19 points on the front 9 with a blob! Had I parred the silly short par 3 instead of taking a 5, I would have shot level par (gross).

But those were seriously bad conditions yesterday. Spey Valley was bad during the Scotland trip, but yesterday was worse. Rain was much heavier, and as James has said, the fairways were almost underwater.

In total I think 6 people scored more than 30pts.

The two 6 h/cappers I played with shot 18 & 25 pts.

Makes me feel a little better about my awful performance

Apart from the usual prizes for longest drive and nearest the pins on the par 3s, there were prizes up for grabs for nearest the pin in 3 shots on 2 of the par 5s. Nobody, not even JustOneUK, managed that on either hole.

You could almost have surfed on the bow wave in front of Smiffy's GK front wheel.

Playing yesterday convinced me that I needed to update my waterproof jacket. My old ProQuip gear is about as much use as a chocolate ashtray. Trousers are OK, but the jacket has lost it's waterproofing. It is nearly 10 years old after all. New ProQuip PQLite jacket ordered this morning via ebay for £44.95. Bargain, and I can't wait until it lobs it down again to test it out.... :D
