I've made a big big big mistake Guys.....

I went to a Direct Golf store and then onto an AG and then onto the local range shop and I want to buy lots and lots of new clubs.

The lure of the clubs and the ease of using the credit card against what HID will say if she finds out!!!

God I need more willpower.........

I feel for you Imurg. I'm after some new sticks, but I've promised myself not to buy any on a whim, I have to many clubs lying around my workshop which I thought were good buys at the time.

Take a deep breath........in through the nose, out through the mouth...feel better now?

It is a nice feeling though when you've bought them and they look nice and shiny sitting in your bag, but is it worth it?

The Titleist 909 hybrid is calling me - all I hear is its plaintive cry, begging me to give it a home.

Same with the new Scotty Fastback.

I need some serious therapy...

You see, if you had the perfect set, you could be immune to all this temptation.

I can now walk through any golf shop, and not feel the pull to get out the credit card. I have a complete bag that I am happy with.

As long as they don't stock 909 drivers.

I guess this is where having a CF'd (there I've said it!), set really helps. Because you know that you spent hours at the fitting centre getting the right shaft for you, the right lie angle, the right shaft length, the right lofts etc. That anything 'off the shelf' just doesn't cut it anymore. On that basis going for a custom fit will probably work out cheaper than buying off the shelf, and leave less clubs lying around the garage, spare bedroom or workshop.

Happy wife = happy man with his CF'd clubs.

I know the feeling, problems with distance loss on my irons coupled with the success of recent MD purchases has got me looking at the Superstrong irons. May well be out on Sunday having a hit with a few but still looking at cheaper brands or last year's models over the newer kit (unless it is really shiny then the will power may fade)

I watched a property programme the other week where the fit frumpy bird was trying to find a house for a couple. The bloke said the garden must have room for a putting green and the house be near a golf club.

Possibly the only property programme that has kept my intrest.

How the heck am I going to get all that back to mine, think I will have to borrow the college mini bus. :D

Club addiction, your in a safe place to talk here. I feel your pain. Sometimes you just need a new club for confidence or whatever reason, pointless talking to HID they don't understand.
I thought I had a set bag until a few weeks ago, now realise I need a four iron and new wedge.
