Right guys i went out last weekend and I had a stonker.

The 2 main issues i had were.

1. Off the tee. I would say the majority of tee shots with the driver only just managed to past the ladies tee. Nice steady swing however every time I contacted the ball it would dribble of to the left. ( Some didn't get past the ladies tee!). Only good tee shot was the last.

2. Then during the round I had an attack on the shanks out of know where.

I was probably thinking to hard about it, too many swing thoughts etc. Anything easy to try.

Might even give the stack and tilt a try to see if that gives anymore consistency. When I'm up the range next I will take the camera and get it posted.

Any ideas?

Just forget about it. I think the main reason you got the shanks was because you kept thinking about your driving. Your long game isn't the only part of your game you know! :D

Matt having seen you play, I think the problem is two fold. Firstly I think there are too many moving parts to your swing especially in the leg action which is frankly all over the show and gives no solid base to turn around or let the weight move.

The second I think is more to do with course management and thinking way too much about the technique instead of letting the game flow. I think you see the dangers on every hole and work back from there without focussing on the target.

The good news is I think your short game and putting are pretty strong and so a lesson or two to stop the disco legs during the swing and to get a decent swing to drive with and you'll be sorted.
