play with my mate always once a week and every sunday during the season. he's one that has a club for every shot and all the gear that goes with it, with all the gear he has he looks like he should be good, however his play fades away to nothing as the day goes, he takes many practice swings and always takes his time thinking what he's gonna do with his shot. every 1 in 4/5 shots is terrible and he gets annoyed and gets worse. I just pick a club and hit the ball and generally don't play as many bad shots as him through the day and it defo pisses him off.

do you give him advice or let him huff it out on his own?

i do have a laugh to myself cos i know he's spent a few bob over time, though if he heard me sniggering i'd get the 3 wood round my neck lol

that 3 wood will change to a driver, he's thinking about it too much. sometimes you just got to grip it n rip it haha

At a guess i'd say his not fit enough, and loses consentration, same symptoms as me, but i don't lose my rag anymore,

Tell him you'll improve his game for £20 and one night with his Mrs.

First, limit him to one practice swing per shot.

Then tell him to choose a club, and play one more every time (IE a 7I instead of an 8I etc)

Then ask him what he intends to do while you're busy that evening.

That should keep too many swing thoughts from disturbing him.

At worst, you'll be £20 better off, at best...

i'd need more than 20 for the mrs mate lol he's not agressive or owt and doesn't lose the rag just can see he gets frustrated. wouldn't say we hold up folk more than anyone else.

Does he play in medals or with other people? If not, then make him. let them sort him out for you! ;)
