Help ! Should I ditch the 3 wood

In these drier conditions I've been using my driver less and the 3 and 5 wood have been coming into their own off the tee. Marked increase in accuracy (if you take out the lost ball on the 18th today) and not a huge loss in distance. I think even in winter I may use the 3 wood more. There are a couple of holes, 16 in particular where accuracy is more important and at 420 yards I can play it as a par five with my shot. Chances are I will make more net pars than banging the driver to get it as far up as I can, bringing the OB left and rough right into play.

I've currently dropped the driver because on most of the courses I play I find problems beyond 300 from the tee and don't need more that 280 for an approach distance.........

with the current weather it will be back to normality shortly!
