Things I want to buy

Quite intrigued by the LAB putters too, especially the fang shaped one. But being honest, own putter in the bag is fine and 500quid is not happening anytime soon.

I tried a couple of Odyssey square 2 square putters today, the #7 counterbalanced and the smaller blade one. Not keen on either will wait for the Max to come in and also try some of the LABs before pulling the trigger.

I swung one of the #7 versions in the proshop. Felt very strange, might be better on the course.

Had a putting lesson with my pro yesterday, due to the shaft lean it appears (for me) that I have to set up more in the middle of my stance instead of more towards the front toe. Once i stuck with it the consistency was a huge improvement.

I’d suggest anyone considering one to get their pro to check the set up before taking it to a green.

I watched James Robinson video today and made me want to try a lab putter. I’m pretty solid at putting the now so if it’s a good as his video suggests it should be noticeable better.

Tried a LAB putter. Not for me. I didn't like the look at set up at all and that was a big no no straight away. Holding off the TM Spider....for now, especially a custom version (damn you for telling me about these)

Also, I seem to simultaneously have a lot of golf clothes, and almost none when it comes to what pairs with what. I fear a big shop coming on 😬

Maybe "new" clubs, most of mine I play now were yanked from used bins and regripped.
My last "new" clubs I actually played were about 30 years ago. Kennex Irons and custom built woods.

I did buy Olimar Single Length irons to try out. Still just range clubs right now. Not sure I like them yet

New golf bag. My Ping DLX has lasted brilliantly but is now showing signs of wear and not really up to the job. Zip gone and bits of wire from the pockets sticking out. Strap also nearly gone. Tempted by a tour bag especially for the winter to get towels, waterproofs, gloves in. Not overly bothered if it loses a couple of pockets sitting on a trolley as I think I'd still win on additional space

Tour bags usually work well on trollies if you turn them on their side.

I bought a stand bag last year that I am really pleased with but my club have just got in a load of G Fore 'leather' style stand bags with the club logo on them and they are bluddy gorgeous. £350 though, really can't justify that when I have a perfectly good bag :(

edit: these ones

Really like the new Cleveland RTZ wedges.

Cleveland haven't put out a decent wedge since the old 900 and 588 series in my opinion but the GM review was intriguing and I picked one up in a shop today and thinned chipped a few balls around the floor of the shop - the feel was amazingly dead, no harshness, not clicky, just a dull muted impact.

If GM want to offer up a Cleveland wedge fitting session then thats something I'd be very interested in.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Id like to buy 6 align grips to redo my irons the same as my woods and hybrids. I really like them however they irons are only 6 months old so I refuse to throw away good grips lol
