Help required with Snooper S320 GPS

Anyone own one of these or better still bought one second hand?

I picked up a used one on fleabay, collected it today and having a bit of bother setting it up. Got the program installed etc but can't download local courses to add them. Says I have to register the serial number but comes up with an error when I do this...I assume because its already been registered.

Any ideas? I'll phone the helpline tmrw but hoped someone can help tonight? :thup:
 
I've got one, which reminded me that I need to do some downloading on it. Its out in the car, I'll go get it in a bit and see if I can see a way round it. I know what bit your at but its been a while since I've had mine connected up. Most of the courses are already on it though so you don't really need to download anything unless your playing a course that's not on it.?
 
That'd be great, thanks! Maybe I just need a bit of help with how to find the courses then, didn't come with an instruction booklet!!! There are a few courses on it that I can see but not sure if these are "favourites" or something.
 
Ok, Checked mine and I have Dullatur (both courses) this i knew as I've played them a few times. I have westerwood aswell but I'm not sure if it the new or the old setup as they changed the course round a few years ago, I don't have torrance park though as its fairly new so would need to down load that one.

Have you tried searching for Dullatur on the snooper ? should be in there.

P.S. where you come from as its pretty close to me :-)
 
Could you give me an idiots guide on how to search please? When I click on "Golf" it comes up with 6 options Start game, edit players, Record club distance, History, Configure and Exit.

When I click Start game it brings up the 5 "saved courses", which are all pretty local to the person I bought it from. I can't seem to do anything else???

Edited to add - I'm from Airdrie. My bro in law is a member at Dullatur, played Westerwood loads last year as it was cheap. Just joined Torrance Park a few weeks ago, its alright for the money and for me as i'm just a beginner!!!

I get the same 6 options, I click on start game and it takes me to the next screen which has 2 options, search and favorites. Do you not get that screen ?

I used to stay in Kilsyth but have moved to Wishaw last year, Not played Torrance Park yet but have a mate that joined it this year too so hopefully get up there for a round at some point.
 
No I dont get that, theres a header at the top with "Golf Clubs" then the 5 favourite clubs below....no other options.

Torrance is alright, the greens are excellent but the fairways are a bit bare at points, can get quite muddy and waterlogged. Needs 2/3 years to sort out the fairways and it will be a good course.
 
Good stuff, have they got a club house yet ? I nearly joined it too when I moved but decided to stay at Mount Ellen for the time being.

As for the Snooper, on the 6 options screen hit the configure option and and then the version and tell me what version you are running. Also have you tried resetting it to factory ? There is a pinhole on the side of it, I'd get a needle in there and get it reset to factory settings and try again from there.
 
Not yet, apparently work starts in September for the clubhouse, they're going to have to move a hole or two to accommodate it so could be a while.

It says

Found the pinhole, i'll stick a pin in and see what happens!!

Golf P2000F0F1011X (11/10/2010) - I guess this is something to do with registering it.

I'll have a look at the snooper app thing and see if there is a way to upgrade the S/W, unless the pinhole works that is :-)
 
That was the original problem, I assume as its already registered (previous owner) it won't allow it to be registered again (registered by the serial number). When I try to register it, it says to call the helpline number.
 
Perry, Been messing with mine for a while now, as it would't download Torrance Park (used that one as it was on the website but not my snooper) It jut wouldn't download, went through the motions but just wasn't there. Anyway, I tried to reset mine and that wouldn't work either. So I went back to the website and looked for a software upgrade and found one, it basically updated the software and downloaded courses and seems to be working well now. Go here https://www.snooperneo.co.uk/FirmwareSerialCheck.cfm input the serial number from the back of the snooper and then the software level from your earlier post. Then seach and it should give you snooper update 24 I think it was, download the .exe file and then run it. Should sort things out for you.
