Hello - new to the forum

Unbeknownst to me I apparently joined here in 2010 (must have been looking at golf forums at that time). Looking for an active UK forum to meet my fix, when not playing. I use the large US forum (on best behaviour so not mentioning names as it may be against the rules ), but miss the local connection/relevance, therefore here I am.

Playing 4 years now. Live in Co Down, N. Ireland. Took it up late as I am now 45. Playing of 16. Don't play a lot at weekends care of other commitments. I tend to play once a week (midweek). Would love to play more and get some time to practice (like many I suspect - time is limited).

I am very familiar with forums and have been active (very active at times) for years in many other non golf related ones.

Just saying hello - rather than post anonymously. So how would you describe this forum?

The ability to arrange games and Forum meets is a big plus, we have quite a few members in Norn Iron and South of the border too

Welcome along. This forum is just like anywhere else - there are a lot of good people, a few bampots, discussions are mostly friendly and constructive but every now and then things resemble the school playground.

The best thing about here is the forum meets. There are a good few members in your neck of the woods, so check out the Arrange a Game section and get yourself along. Almost guaranteed to have a good time.

Moved recently from Bangor to Blackwood. May be moving on again soon. Tend to favour playing a variety of courses. I get bored too easily. Says too much about me really
