Don't you love a nice welcome now and again? Well today I thought I’d advertise a couple putters gathering dust in the garage.

Now I've been a member/registered for a good couple of years now and post very irregularly but do read the postings, try to ignore the silly contributions (sorry Smiffy) and pick the bones out of most things.

So when I post my putters up for sale, at a good price, I have to say! it gets removed... and told to post more!

Ok, some of you will agree with that I certainly do not. I don't post for the sake of posting and don't add b@ll@cks to serious questions/views either. I wonder now, why I bother reading these posts as when I come to use the forums I can't!

So with two fingers held firmly in the air can anyone recommend any other sites for my golfing forum fix???

But then again give people authority in anything associated with golf and watch the little Hitler emerge.

Not unreasonable at all. It's there to stop people registering just to sell stuff when no-one knows them from Adam.

If you don't like it......

Geezer, just below your forum name it states 'stranger'.

If a 'stranger' offered you something for sale, at a good price, would you buy it from them? I wouldn't.

eBay states the 'good buyer, good seller' tag, this forum doesn't.

You've been registered a while but people still know very little about you. I guess that's the deciding factor.

Stick around though - there's no other golfing forum as good as this one. :D

Seen something similar on a motorbike forum. The guy quoted the length of time he'd been a forum member and said he read a lot but wasn't great a putting together posts.

Personally I'd prefer to see a rule that said x number of posts OR x months a member. That way it would still cover the occasion of someone signing up just to sell.

Just my opinion tba...

Agreed but ask the question directly on the amount needed and it's not answered.

FladosJumper,

I'm with you I cant see why you had your post removed. Nowhere in the rules does it states how many posts you need to submit to be able to make a selling ad. I also struggled to find anywhere that says you have to consistenly post or be a very active member.

If it were me I would email Mike (editor) and ask him personally, he is a genuine guy and will prob give the thumbs up. Saying that this might be removed before you read it.

Power and all that lol :(

Stevie you are Wolfie!

Did you post pictures too. If so I have to say I think the mods are getting a tad carried away. Clearly you aren't a first time poster trying to flog gear and believe me there have been a few. With pictures you'd have abided by the rules and I don't think they'd have had much comeback for deleting.

Try again with some pics and see what happens

i absolutely agree with you .
im a newbie, around 40 posts. why shouldnt i be able to sell ? i wanted to sell a whole set today, but they got taken down.
oh well, i guess gm suffers, and eBay benefits
