Finally got some new irons to replace the Ping G25s that didn't suit me.
I dont know if anyone here has played with the X2 hot irons but WOW they are heavy which actually suits me really well.

Anyone who thinks they have heavy irons swing a X2 hot iron first, What other irons do people think are heavy?

I have some benross hotspeed 2 irons that feel fairly light, but my old man plays with r9 irons that feel a tonne compared to mine!

Interesting. I play X2 Hots but don't find them particularly heavy. Solid yes, but compared to my old X14s or Diablos pretty similar in weight.

What shafts do yours have?

All of mine swing heavy due to the added length, they come out at about D8. D2 or D3 is what is considered to be a standard swingweight. I experimented with longer & shorter clubs & found that the longer, heavier ones were much easier to keep on plane. You get to the top of the swing and they club seems to swing itself down. With the lighter clubs I couldn't keep the ball straight.

Must be an old man's disease! When I had my irons soft-stepped, they were done in 2 stages - firstly got a mate to do a couple to check whether it worked/was worth doing. When the rest were done, the guy pointed out that the first 2 were at D8 but he'd set the others to the more usual D4. Having wished he hadn't actually mentioned that, I played as they were for a few rounds, but found the D8 ones much more to my liking an the D4 ones a bit dodgy! So there is now a load of lead tape over the rest of them! Shafts are pretty heavy by modern standards too - I found I had no idea where the head was/ball was going with light ones (Nippon 950s).

Have swung these off the shelf at Silvermere and didn't notice any significant weight difference. Might just be me and a different feeling once you hit balls and give them a full blown swing

It just be just me then I dont know what it is about the X2 hot irons but to me Ive never swung anything that feels heavier.
Amazing clubs by the way they go miles

Ap2 gitted with s300, Jesus they were heavy

That's what I have, and quite a few people have told me they seem heavy, when they have a swing with them.

I've gotten used to them, but other clubs feel incredibly light when I have a waggle in the pro shop.
