Hearts in Admistration

Because of course what everyone wants is the manky mob in their green and grey hoops waving the flag of a foreign country.

:whoo:

About the same as Hibs?I wasn't there as I don't do pre-season friendlies, but the point is, people went to see Barca, not Hearts and not Hibs.Historically, since WWII, Hibs are the better supported club in Edinburgh.Maybe not reflected over the last 5 years or so, but the figures back it up.ER has the record Edinburgh crowd and the biggest average crowd over a season.AND we only count people who come thru the gates, not the number of ticket we sold/gave away.

So we compete in the support stakes, even against financial doping that been going on since Mercer.

one city, one team

Attendance levels are still only equivalent to a 'high attendance' League 1 English Football League team though!

Strikes me that's extremely low for all the noise about Scottish Football!

And, some time ago, I was a contributor to the numbers.

Not sure what your point is?Scotland has a population about 6 million, on a per head ratio, we have the best supported teams in Europe....probably boosted by the numbers at Celtc Park and Ibrox.

Its bad enough that teams both north and south sometimes get into financial difficulties, but to then hit them with a 15 point penalty for going into administration smacks like kicking a bloke when he is down.

What chance have they got of staying up this year with a start like that, the whole season is a write off.

I do think that this penalty is grossly unfair

Superb.

First the unwashed and next their diet cousins.

Less Union Jack waving next season hopefully.

Best change our song....Bring on the Hibs the Hibs the Hibs the Hibs, bring on the Spaniards by the score....:whoo:

You forget about the cousins of the cousins 10 years ago out my home town of Airdrie

Did Southhampton not stay up from a 15 point deduction a few years ago.

Strangely enough I think Hearts would have been docked 18 points if they went into administration at the back end of last season. That would have relegated them.
Slightly unfair to Dundee.

Dundee also stayed up in Div 1 with a deduction after administration. I don't feel for Dundee, you reap what you sow.

Have to add though that it was reported that there was a chance the Jambos would have gone into liquidation prior to the end of the season if the deduction wouldn't have relegtated them but as they were so garbage last year it wasnt an option.

Pot and kettle ma man.

Seen as your on about flags, why England flags at Ibrox?

;)

England and Scotland are both part of the United Kingdom, the flag of which is the Union Flag. Given what the Union Flag consists of I wouldn't therefore consider The Cross of St George, The Saltire nor the Union Flag to be foreign.

The ROIs tricolour on the other hand......................

;)

Surely all this is the fault of the SFA, the other SPL directors and clubs, HMRC, the anti Jambo media, a one-off rogue director, William Hill, posters on Twitter and most of all Dundee United?

We can expect a list of enemies to be published soon and a boycott of Tannadice next season no doubt.

Poor poor attempt Dodger, even by your standards ;)

England flags at Ibroke - simple - idiots associating themselves with English Nationalism (EDL etc) as being standard bearers for the United Kingdom. Would make more sense for them to fly the Red Hand flag but that's not their point. Or maybe it is and they haven't noticed the significant missing.

And the ROI flag is equally out of place at Paradump.

I can't stand the pathetic, disingenuous and wheedling reasons both weegie biggies give for it being appropriate for supporters - and the clubs - to fly these flags. A festering sore and poison on Scottish society.

You are actually nowhere near on that one. Firstly I've never seen that many C of St G flown at Ibrox tbh, massively outnumbered by the RHOU which would make sense given the amount of support from Northern Ireland. The odd C of St G you may see will generally bear the name of an English based Rangers Supporters Club.

Next, I fail to see why a Rangers supporting Unionist would feel any requirement to associate themselves with English Nationalism and the EDL (bearing in mind they are not one and the same) surely their support would be for the SDL rather than the EDL.
