Heads up No 2

Excellent!

Now if they can just do the same to the people who think it is ok to just scrape a 1" square hole in the windshield before heading off...

Well there's not enough Rozzers on the streets to catch idiots who use their phones in the car so they're not going to catch many.

And anyway, you shouldn't need to be reminded to clear all the snow/ice from your car. If you've got half a brain cell it should be bleedin' obvious. :D

It should be mandatory to keep a bit on your roof as when your water freezes and you can't see oot the window all you need to do is a quick sudden breaking manouver and hey presto you have the snow from ya roof tumbling down the windscreen which in turn enables you to stick the wipers on and clear the filthy windscreen.

Top tips brought to you by Dodger. ;)

Bet the guy who is travelling too close behind thinks it's great idea too! lol

I travel one of the main roads in Leeds every day and it is still bloody amazing how many drivers are either on the phone or texting whilst driving. If I was a rozzer I could build up my arrest sheet sky high in an hour. I'm no goody-goody by any means but this infuriates me.

I was walking towards Asda last week and was only 50yards fronm the main entrance when I saw a a girl driving away still wearing her Asda jacket, and you guessed it, she was texting

Would of thought that with all those V Easy sales you would have started using Waitrose or M&S for food shopping by now!

Dodger, I find that if you knock down an old granny wearing a full lenghth coat is more effective in cleaning your windscreen than your jerky braking method and the added value should you manage to catch a granny in a leather coat is a lovely chamois finish to your window.

I'd have thought he'd have had Fortnum and Masons deliver by now - except not sure they do mars bars

I saw a prime example of this today .

I was on the A13 going through Leigh on sea and a big 4x4 arrives at a side road junction about 100yds from me . As the vehicle slowed down , a huge sheet of snow slid down off the roof completely covering the windscreen. The driver panicked , slamming his foot on the brake which meant the car skidded straight out into the middle of the main road !!!! Luckily , i was far enough away to be able to stop in time...just !!

Completely idiotic behaviour if you ask me. I clean my van of snow as much as possible before leaving , not forgetting the lights , which is another bug-bear of mine .

Lights are a big bug-bear of mine all year, not just when it's snowy! I reckon more than 50% of vehicles have defective lights - and apparently it's over 90% with defective indicators (either that or they buy the cheapo version that doesn't have any!)
