Played my first game of the year in my usual sweep this morning. I tied for 1st with the Callaway Tour balls some of were trying for Callaway. Is this it's first win. Big Easy better watch his back I could be the next big thing in golf with these balls :D :D :D.

Boy do they spin, I don't think I will be using them any time soon. I was using the (x) ball and it just spins too much. I can't wait until tomorrow to try the (s) they should spin even more. I can then put them away until hard greens in summer and get back to my Taylormade Red/Blacks.

What x ball - do you mean the z ball? I found the s to spin the most.

Whoops! Was thinking Titleist. Just can't wait to try the (s) now after your comment and get it spinning right off the green instead off the front. As I said roll on TP Red/Black, they just seem to suit my game so much better.

I thought the s spun more when I tried them. At the moment our greens are so wet that I don't think its necessarily a good time to make comparisons. It'll be interesting to see how they perform when the greens are hard and fiery

Second outing this year, this time with the Callaway Tour(s) ball. Yet another win, two out of two. I found it spun a bit more on full shots, but not as good as the (z) from 50 yards and in.

I've tried them both now and they are now being retired for a few months until the greens firm up, i'll then give them another bash. I still think i'll be playing with my Taylormade TP Red/Blacks though.

Took a cally (z) with me today and it was in play by the 3rd (see my blog for how not to start a stableford). However it behaved with impeccable manners and even deemed to find the bottom of the hole on a number of clutch putts. I got some great spin off it (more than I needed at times) and it was surprisngly long given the conditions and didn't scuff up too badly

I used the (z) today and all i can say is wow. The only thing that i didnt like about them was that it feels dead of the face of the putter but also feels hard at the same time to me :).

The (z) goes like a rocket. It just explodes off the clubface with a great trajectory. It enabled me to clear trouble on two occasions today that I really shouldn't have.

It will be interesting how it spins on firmer greens. I'll be buying some. Are they out yet?
