hard ball v soft ball

I use the same ball (generally) all year.

Would the softer ball be harder to compress in the winter due to the temperatures reaction with the compounds?

Tony, you are a young chap but bear in mind when you get older, the ball on the teeth trick is risky

Incidently (sp) has anyone used the black balls?
They are supposed to perform better the warmer they are, they absorb the heat. Could take a thermos with you and keep swapping the balls for each hole. :D

bigruss/viscount and imurg are spot on and know their balls oooer!

To get the best from them you have to know exactly what makes them tick. I would love certain makes all the time,as with clubs but Im such a tight ass these days lol.

If you dont have the skill/capability to do them justice you may as well ahve any old ball.
