It's on a promontory. It's sunnier. The town has character. The sea is clean.

Unhappiest place is London.
It's polluted. It's congested. It's dirty. People are time poor and unfriendly.

However, I love London, my second home. I used to work there.

Absolutely love St Ives - used to go there every year on holiday, my old man still has a couple of friends who live there, just beautiful!

Every time I visit London I'm happy to be leaving, not for me!

St Ives is indeed very lovely...just a pity that like so many Devon/Cornwall coastal places 'locals' struggle to live there. Think I read in last couple of days that 1:4 properties in Woolacombe is an AirBnB. But hands up - we take advantage of the fact that friends have a second home in Noss Mayo and we get to use it for a nominal charge - as we did just a couple of weekends ago.
