Handling new partners

I hate playing a shot when people i dont play with are watching as I always fluff it. it's worse when it's guys I know well but who I've never played with. does that make sense?

i was meaning i'm fine with the guys I play regularly with but not with guys who I never do. Getting confused but hope you know what I mean but took it onboard, maybe not confident enough.

No.........so how do you play with other people then, fluff it until you get to know them, how long does that take.

I just fluff my first shot (or 10) so there's no expectation left..... :o

Ask Homer.....he and and I took 4 holes to get over the sight of Team GM standing on the first at his. In fairness to Homer, he was OK, I was shocking and when I started to get better (4th hole) Jezz rolled in a birdie to slow our progress.

And they birdied two of the the next three so it didn't help our fragile state any. I faded on th eback nine (nothing new there) and Dave came good but the damage was done. The point is that a new playing partner or a change of circumstance (club match, first competition) can be a big deal and it can put you off big time. I still get nervous in every club event especially if I'm drawn with a member I've never met or played with. It's only experience that ,akes it easier to deal with

Thanks for all the input guys......
Ill let ye know what happens.
I ts still in the balanca for the morning as the temperatures are supposed to drop to -5 again tonight.....Roll on the morning.
