Following on from my thread about " Are gps measuring devices banned from your club ".

If I decided to use a gps distance measuring device in an official qualifying club competition at my club fully knowing that such devices are banned from being used and then I was indeed disqualified ( quite rightly I must add )

Would my handicap still be adjusted accordingly to the score I declared or would the whole round be null and void and I would start the next competition on exactly the same handicap at which I started the competition in which I was disqualified?

No, you would not get cut.

When a player is DQ'd for something administrative like not signing or no handicap, wrong score on a hole etc then the score is considered correct for handicapping. ie the score was not directly affected by the transgression.

If on the other hand you are DQ'd for something that may have helped you score better (eg non conforming club or distance/windspeed measuring device) then the score is classed at incorrect and is ignored for handicapping.
