Handicap advice

My wife & I took up golf only last summer and I LOVE it. At 32 I have got the same passion I had when I was a kid and got into football.
I have set myself the target of getting a handicap by the end of the year but as it stands I only play on the local 9 hole course and if I am honest, I don't play that too well (Average about 64 for a par 34!!!)

But I am seeing the scores getting better & I really want to get a handicap by the end of the year, what would be your advice on the way forward and how to get a handicap.

For starters, you need to join a club. Now would be a great time to get a few fundamental lessons on grip and stance.

We did have lessons to help us get started, then it seems everyone I play with is only too happy to give me some advice.
