Handicap Adjustments

I came back to this because it dawned on me that if i won, then how could i not have been cut - i must have been the best scorer in the conditions.

I was off 11.7 on sat so did get cut 0.2.

I dont get this at all. but i figure he is probably doing it right - is it even the case that the computer does it for him (we log in before we play and input scores after. I displays all the entered scores through the day etc).

The course is short - 5300 with 6 par 3's and a few short par 4's, the course is protected with lots of water, streams that run alongside and lakes, streams cut accross a few landing zones too. The greens are hard and quick too. It's in really good condition

Just because you win it doesn't automatically mean a cut - unlike most Societies where a win gets you a cut regardless. To get a cut you still have to beat CSS. Earlier in the year I won a Stableford at my place with 34 points. It's only because CSS went up by a shot that I didn't go up .1!

I really dont get this, surely the winnert has played better - comparitively against their own handicap, against everyone else against theirs?

So, it would follw that if everyone else played less well than i did (against their Hcp) the the CSS would be higher than whatever the winner shoots?

I am over simplifying this or just plain stupid?
