Looking to buy a new gps and have narrowed it down to Garmin g8, golf buddy pt4 or the sky caddie touch. Specifically want one with the picture of the hole and distance to hazards etc, the ideal would be a course planner with gps. Not bothered about scorecards or storing/ analyzing data.
From my research it looks like:
the sky caddie has the best images but the interface and screen are slow and clunky, it’s difficult to get all the info on the screen at the same time and you have to pay annual fees.
The golf buddy has low tech graphics, has issues with the placement of the on/off button, battery life and waterproofing.
The Garmin again has low tech graphics and sometime has issues picking up satellites.
I’m swaying towards the Garmin unless someone knows of anything new to market or can convince me one of the others would be better.
