I've had Wahl clippers for years but they died last week. I'm going to order more but am drowning under a sea of options. I could go Wahl again but there look some decent Babyliss and Philips 5000 series options. I don't want to go mad, they are just for me, not professional use, but equally I don't want to buy cheap rubbish that I have to replace quickly.

Has anyone bought some recently and been pleased with them, or the opposite of course.

You do know that hairdressers are open again? ;)

Bought Wahl Clip N Trim Hair Clippers from Argos at the start of lock down, £35. My hair grows like wild fire, the missus has been cutting it every 5-6 weeks, and they have done a decent job.

I've had Whal for years and HID does mine every 3-4 weeks. I could probably do with a newer version for sharper blades but it still does the job and as the hair is receding like the outgoing tide it doesn't take too long

Got some wahl from TK Maxx a couple of month ago whilst growing the Covid beard. For £25 they were a steal. Sry impressed with them.

My daughter ( a hairdresser) uses Wahl clippers, but not you’re Argos ones;) , but then she understands she needs tools that work reliably and cost is second place.

I ended up getting some Babyliss clippers for £25. There are a few reputable brands around the same price and the reviews looked decent so I went with them. They will not be getting excessive hammer so I do not need pro grade ones.

Thanks for the suggestions.
