Ive just got back from the range and I feel so low and depressed. I couldnt hit a thing. There was no distance, no power, no control. Nothing!

The worst thing was I dont even know what I was doing wrong and as the session got on I lost total confidence in myself. I felt I didnt know how to swing and what body part should be doing what. Im not even exaggerating.

Good job I wasnt on the course, as I'd be feeling even worse.

Sounds similar to my form today, only mine was on the course. It's best not to think about it too much, and next time you play/practice things should be back to normal again, thats what im hoping anyway.

Not a great day although in my defence it was really hard scoring conditions with a really stiff wind and ultra quick greens (certainly for the time of year). No excuse for carving my first tee shot OB for a nice triple (welcome to the medal) but went out in 42 (+7) so the other eight holes were good.

It all went horribly Pete Tong on the back nine with doubles all over the show. I completely lost my ability to hit driver and was carving it way right (over the adjoining fairways) but I kept going and would have been one better but for a three putt on eighteen missing from a foot

Get back on the horse and do it again there is no easy way,i have had range sessions that could end in tears till you realise its just a game

I think I'm going to go tomorrow and get back to basics. The reason I felt so bad was I havent been playing to long and I thought I was making improvements but today was a disgrace.

Anyway, Im putting this down to being one of those days. We all must have them.

It's like anything mate, when we start out we dont get better with each and every round. Generally over time you'll get better but during that time we all have poor rounds and have an up and down time.

That's never ending - thrown in with our good stuff are always bad holes, a bad 9 or a round. Dont worry about it, get back down the range, hit some 7 irons to find your tempo again and go from there.

Wise. :)

If it happens more than 2 or 3 times, get help!!!

It maybe worth taking a fellow golfer with you next time, sometimes its easier for another player to see where your going wrong and can assist you as you practice,if you cant afford lessons with a pro.

i would do what pokerjoke was saying about going to the range with someone i allways find it is better to go with someone, just so you stop amd think about it and he may see what you are doing
you are doing right by getting back out there
