Hacker status

Evening all
When I first posted a few weeks ago I was designated as a hacker (though how this was decided I don't know)
Now I notice I have been bumped to medal winner, can anyone explain this system? Does a guy who is a tour winner have a tour card?!

It's just a fun based system based on the number of posts made, nothing to do with real life

Simply based on the number of posts you make. Lots of forums have ways of ranking users based on posts and as this is a golf forum its using golfing terms. Hacker being a newbie to the game/forum.
