The R11 old news now though, Mike stated it will be a world exclusive for 3 average Joe's, very intriguing, Mike, put me down, I love a surprise and hopefully a challenge

The Cobra suggestion sounds plausable. They have always aimed themselves at the average golfer and would want all the publicity they can get for a big brand re-launch.
Cleveland could be another option. Worked closely with GM on the Centenary events and have not annouced anything new yet.
Outside bet could be Callaway. The Octane and Razr did not seem to really catch the public eye so maybe a big push this year could be what they are after.

i have it on very reliable grounds from "someone in the know" ...
it is in fact the next version of the Slazenger K1 Speed driver and matching irons.
Following the massive success of the K1 Speed Driver, the new K1(and a bit) Speedier driver and irons take distance golf to the masses. You will all be hitting average drives 370 yards and the occasional one to 415 yards !
The massive dynamic forces involved in these clubs means a unique custom fitting process
First of all , the sound of impact is so loud that the selected golfer will be fitted for a special Slazenger golf cap, with atatched earphone hearing protection.
Secondly the vibrations from the shaft are so great that the selected golfers need to be fitted for Slazenger golf Gauntlets (which provide the added value of keeping you warm in winter)
There are an optional set of branded knee braces
Then there is the final aspect of the custom fitting - the insertion of a dozen 6" nails through each gofl shoe to provide traction when these rocket irons make impact !

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Dunlop are releasing new for 2012 shaftless (unshankable) wedges and graphite speeder shafted, white headed chippers for the discerning hacker. Whos going to be first in the queue?
