I recently switched from i20 to rocketbladez. The i20 are excellent clubs but I felt I needed something with a bit more forgiveness. If you ignore the TM hype these are awesome clubs. & I got a set in new condition at an absolute steal.

wierd cos I never liked the rocketbladez, found the face too springy and the head too light.

Just shows its all down to personal preference. I am sure you will buy wisely Nick

I'm sure Mark Crossfield plays with the EZ forged irons. And he says never mind the looks, feel the performance.
He uses the cast ones. Game improvers. Just seen a video of him comparing them to G25's. For him it is not what they look like, but how they go. He confirms the lofts are stronger, and clubs slightly longer, but he prefers hitting a club with 7 on the bottom than 6.:mmm: Food for thought ?

Tried the JPX 825 Pro tonight and well, I thought it would be an easier decision than it turned out to be.

I started out with my old 6 iron and straight away got into a good shanking groove, it must be something to do with our Pro, I always hit it bad when I'm with him.

Then tried the 825 Pro 6 iron on the Reg shaft (which was the one that gave the best results last time), more bad bad shots and shanks than I'd care to admit but when hit well the results were good.

I then tried the EZ Forged 6 iron, I think this is the more forgiving but would mean a bit of sacrifice in workability, that's not necessarily a bad thing as I like to hit a straight shot but I also like to be able to try and shape one now and then.

Having settled into a more relaxed swing I then switched between clubs to get a better comparison and also tried the stiff shaft but the regular gave better results.

I did remember some figures this time; both clubs were very similar at just over 80 mph clubhead speed and just over 110 mph ball speed, carry average around 160 yards, smash factor was 1.36 on every decent shot, which made me wonder if this was reading correctly. The EZ was slightly longer on carry and had a slightly higher launch angle despite being 1 degree stronger.

So what do I choose?
I feel I have too high a ball flight anyway so the 825 Pro suits better there.
Consistency of strike quality was very similar, the EZ probably just edging it.
Looks, the 825 was definitely more pleasing on the eye and didn't feel too small, which the MP-54 did.

On that basis it has to be the JPX825 Pro with KBS Reg shaft.
