GTA 5

Got GTA5 last night for my daughter, stood in the queue at midnight, with a load of people that I now realise after seeing the game for the first time, looked and spoke like characters out of the game.

I'm not a prude and it takes a lots to offend me, but I have to say that GTA5 goes way over and beyond what is decent. I always thought that computer games didn't affected or have any bearing on how real people would act in real life, but this game, I think changes my mind.

The amount of swearing and the racist slurs, did shock me, which is no wonder why it is an 18 certificate game.

To be fair to Rockstar Games they have never tried to hide the fact that this game is anything other than an adults only type affair so it's up to parent etc to ensure that little Jimmy doesn't end up with a copy for his birthday.

Have had a shocker today in that I hadn't realised it required 8GB to install and I don't have a large enough hard drive!! Have had to order a dedicated USB stick to use as I don't want to start mucking around with new hard drives etc.

You do know you can use any old memory stick?

Of course it's up to the parent to ensure that any kind of inappropriate material is kept out of the hands of their kids, that goes without question.

But from my point of view, I'd never seen any of the games before and after viewing only a few small parts I was surprised at the amount of swearing and racist remarks. Not a game for me, but the estimated £630 million that the BBC news has reported it will make, tells me that there are a lot of other people who like it.

I must have to most mint condition PS3 in th country, mines not been on in 18 months

I just never get into games, the only one I played with any regularity is NHL ice hockey games

I did like the last GTA though............for a few days, I'm just not a gamer

My brother on the other hand.......he's even pre ordered the day one edition of the new Xbox

Spent a good two or three hours on GTA5 last night and I am loving it. Very immersive and pretty spectacular to watch/play in general.

Just wondering if anyone else has made their way to the golf course yet? Played my first round last night - £100 for 9 holes seems steep but course was in good condition.

Reasonably happy with one over for my first 9 - nice course as well :)

played 6hrs solid last night and love it. I hear there are a few missions that are a tad off putting (torture one is apparently pretty uncomfortable), not sure on the papperazi video shoot ;) (once you do it then you will know)

the range is gonna be missing me for a few days as can't wait to finish work and carry on :D

Just checking that nine of you have sudden urges to go round and kill someone. Saw that the Daily Mail had freaked about it in today's issue. (Was the only paper available at the club today and I felt dirty afterwards)

If you feel like going of rampage, please go to the range with your driver and just smash balls until the urge recedes.

So is it online that's good? I haven't played SP for.......well since manic miner and jet set willie:rolleyes:

You can't beat playing against other minds but if its that good I'll still wait for the PC version as consoles are a poor second cousin to pc's.

Lol if videos games cause you to become violent then based on this GTA I'll become a pro golfer! First 18 was 6 over. Second 18 was 3 under!
