Growing your own Veg.

I'm amused by how some people look for extra work to do, although at some level I admire their industriousness. I must admit that much.

We have professional farmers. I don't do their job, and if I still had one, they wouldn't do mine. I suppose that it's some kind of unwritten social contract.

We grow veg, and are looking at doing a lot more this year. Who knows if the supply chain from growing to supplying veg will be intact in 3 months time?

I get that.... but as our Spring begins to establish its self one naturally looks to sowing a seed or two.

Planted our first veg yesterday. Sadly our little garden gets limited sun and gets very wet. Right we planted two potato sacks and going have a go at growing a couple of tomato plants in the house.

Was planning on growing some old school (heritage) varieties this year... Will now, most likely, stick with the tried and tested... Spring onions and radish are real easy for novices... Can even be grown in old lengths of guttering...
