Any one doing more of this or starting for the first time?
I used to grow loads when the family was at home & before interest in golf grew.
I grassed a 10sq m area then, but still have plenty to go at.
I guess if you're going to have a pandemic, this is a good time of year for it to start, though I feel for those without an outside space.

No need here. If a field isn't fenced we are permitted to take enough for personal consumption. Anymore and you get well done. Water melons are coming on well, and the carrots are due out shortly. Lettuce has a bit to go though.

When we moved into a house with a garden for the first time , I was quite chuffed to see 2 feet high lettuce  , shows you what I know.

Carrots in a raised bed is good advice, so long as it is deep enough.
Scattering carrot and lettuce seeds together is also sound advice, or if you have enough space sow alternate rows.
Don't overwater.
