I played this course last year and found the staff very friendly and course in lovely nick.

Times are not so good for some clubs, maybe they are using it as a way of getting new bodies through the door, take a look at the club, see the lay of the land etc. It's quite possible that they will pick up new members off the back of the offer, or hope to at least. The income from the deal may not be what they would like, but if times are that hard, may be better than not having it - and surely it's a decision that the clubs take after giving it some thought as to the benefits vs. the downside?

It is good for the likes of us though. I've already got one for Mentmore and have seen offers for at least 3 other clubs in the last couple of weeks. I'd take up more of them if I could squeeze all the away days in between now and March, sadly that's not going to happen.
