Grooves !

Hi all

Im looking at changing my wedges . . . . .with the impending law change banning square grooves, does anyone know where I can find a list of which wedges which will be legal and which wont after the law change kicks in?

If I'm correct then the rule changes won't affect us for another few years. It's only the pros who have that problem next season

The wedges on the club will have worn flat by the time it affects amatures

From next year all wedges will be made with the new rules in mind. So buy 2010 models and you'll get shallower grooves. But any wedges made prior to 2010 can have the deep grooves and we won't have to stop playing with them until 2024 at least. And as Tony said the grooves will be well worn down by then.

I might just buy a set with the old grooves before they stop making them. Keep them in the cupboard for a few years. Then again, I am sure there will be plenty of new technology that works around the new rules to help us spin the ball back into last week by the time the new wedges are being produced.
