I just saw this article on the BBC site. It describes the agreement of many of the UK's popular TV sports' governing bodies, including both the R&A and the European Tour, to turn much of their TV profits back into 'grass roots projects':

How might/should this turn out? Although I assume it to be the case, the article does not state that any money will be reinvested into the sport from which it originated.
