GPS device???

I'd thought that the 'defenders' had been a bit quiet during this latest 'bout'.

With all due respect, we 'defenders' as you have labelled me now are being quiet because i enjoy golf, and i thought this forum was about golf!?!? We are ultimately all here for the same reason. . .

I agree with "Toad" I have no problems with anyone just think a load of grown men trying to put down a young lad is pointless and surely a waste of your time. If you had all just ignored him then there wouldn't be 4 pages on absolute rubbish and he may have got an answer sooner about his GPS that he asked about.

Mono - just dont share your personal info with these blokes on here just tell your mates and im sure they will congratulate you buddy. . .

Anyway what i am really hurt about is the "me and Jasper Carrot being the only blues fans comment . . ." . . there is my brother also :p

But that is the issue, mono doesnt help himself half the time by posting pointless crap that doesnt need to be posted!

mono - I hope you dont take this as a personal as its not, I actually like you as there is something about you to be liked, I'm just sick of all the inane b******t you post every day.

As you have been advised by others, post about golf and your amazing scored & stories, just stop attention seeking with the ridiculous posts and all will be harmonious again.

I come back into work and find this... lol...

I think the point on here is that golf is about trust and respect because if you have no trust for a golfer then you don't play with them, the same principles are included on this forum due to being a 19th hole.

Mono, you can buy my G300 Shotmiser GPS with sat nav for £150 if you want, you will have to use my email address as a login to download courses and comes with a silo cover.

Mono asked a question ..........

Parmo gave this reply with the first post on it :

What are they? Global Positioning System
How do they work? Marks you position to the target via the above.
What are the features? Sav Nav, touch screen graphics and many more.
Are tehy legal in tournament play? Am's yes Pro's no.
How much do they cost? between £150-£300
Are they worth it? depends how many courses you play, I have found I don't use mine much because I play the same track each week and know the yardages.
Do you own one? Yes
Which one is the best? Hard to say, I like mine G300 Shotmiser as its touch screen and has great graphics.

That could have been the end of it but some turned it into a Mono bashing thread.

Keef, why do you take the bait when it comes to Mono? If he has asked a daft question, blank it as I am sure if nobody replied he it would have dropped of page 1 in a matter of hours and into oblivion but by starting a rant you are pushing his trolley for him.

Oh and Homer ....

Mono

As others have said your company is breaking hte law and some of my friends from HMRC would be very interested if you are not the only one being paid in this way.

I'm sorry but you have lost all credibility with me over the last few weeks from your amazing golf scores, £300 per week school enterprise (300 x 36 school weeks per year is £10,800 - of course you sell that much pop). Now you are entering stuff that you have no idea what it is and earning a fortune cash in hand (particularly in this climate companys aren't going to risk fines for employing people on the black economy - as I said my friends in HMRC will be interested) and now you want a GPS even though you don't know what one is, what it does or how to use it.

I'm sorry but I have PM'd you and explained how your posts read to others and it smacks of attention seeking at best.

For God sake listen to yourself man. You are arguing with a minor and THREATENING to grass him up to your friends in the Inland Revenue service. What would your employer say if they were shown a record of the times and frequency of YOUR posts. Have YOU never logged on in company time to browse the forum? Thats is wasting tax payers money as i.i.r.c. you work in the NHS. People in glass houses m8.

I am sure more folk will avoid this forum because of grown men bullying a minor than reading the inane threads said minor has posted. Block him if he does you nut in that much but for God sake let it go.

This thread has been priceless,
When i go out i like to 'people watch'. I just enjoy watching people go about their business, how they conduct themselves and deal with others etc.
This is 'cyber people watching' for me , and to read this thread right through it is fascinating :o What makes some people tick ?

Mono you obviously have a very thick skin , many would have turned and fled in your situation(s). But keep it up you are a star , you brighten my day :D

Lol i totally agree look at how many views and replies he gets from his postings. . . i think he is a genius and when you are all having a moan at him it just makes for interesting reading. I haven't been on here long but i look at for his postings as they are enjoyable. . . so gents you have played into his hands. . . well done mono. :D

Mono I to have enjoyed your responses to peoples posts, and I think you have invented a new word which should be included in the next oxford dictionary

Monopost : A single sentence response to a complex question or intricate statement.

Oh to be young again :D

I'll think you'll notice that early on in the thread I did actually wish Mono good luck with his job and that hopefully it was all legit. This could have been the end of it. But no. Our dear friend had to continue putting up ridiculous posts about cash in hand, how much and who from. I agree that the lad has incredibly thick skin, and I'm sure that he'll do okay in life because of that. But a little caution wouldn't go amiss. There is such a thing as digging youself a hole and jumping in with both feet.

Despite all of the to-ing and fro-ing. His threads do bring the forum alive with debate and opinion. Yes this is a golf forum, but not exclusively. And often it's the 'off topic' threads that really make this place so intriging. I'd get bored very quickly if all we talked about was which ball for an 'X' handicapper.

I think, love him or hate him Mono is a character and a lot of his posts or replies to his posts make me laugh. If we didnt have peeps posting on here like mono I think it would get quite boring. As someone else has said, if you dont agree with something anyone says you dont have to reply and you certainly dont have to bully him. I also think there are people on here just waiting for the lad to make a post just so they can have a pop. As for passing his name on to the HMRC ... LOLOL Give your head a shake!
Right thats enough thinking for one day, my head hurts!
Ive got to go and fiddle me tax returns
Andy

Actually it was the company I was concerned with and not Mono. I bet he's not the only one being/been paid cash in hand. As for logging in at work I'm afraid NHS firewalls don't allow it anymore and its this PC or an internet cafe only.

I have to say my only issue is with Mono (and M1tch to a degree) is that there posts just don't add anything. They are dull, boring and inane and only ever echo what has already been written. They never actually take a thread on or heaven forbid add something to it or change its direction.

I frankly don't care about his tall stories but have no wish to know how much he makes, earns, or sold his granny for. However when the tall stories involve golf and are on a golf forum then I do think he sets himself up for a fall.

Madandra, Andycap, Bluenose and Toad, I salute you.

Some people ( mentioning no names here ) really do take the bait too easily and fly off the handler at Mono posts. Surely you don't have to jump in on every thread, why not just ignore anything you don't like ?

I have laughed my way through this whole thread, some people need to remember they are adults, and start behaving like it.

The reactions to Mono's posts make my day sometimes, excellent entertainment indeed.

I disagree, i think they are Funny and lighthearted and provoke some really humorous responses. I think what makes this Forum so good is that there is something for everyone and i hope it keeps that way otherwise it would become very Borrrring! Keep up the good work Mono!! ;)
