How do they work?
What are the features?
Are tehy legal in tournament play?
How much do they cost?
Are they worth it?
Do you own one?
Which one is the best?

Thanks in advance.

Connor :D

What are they? Global Positioning System
How do they work? Marks you position to the target via the above.
What are the features? Sav Nav, touch screen graphics and many more.
Are tehy legal in tournament play? Am's yes Pro's no.
How much do they cost? between £150-£300
Are they worth it? depends how many courses you play, I have found I don't use mine much because I play the same track each week and know the yardages.
Do you own one? Yes
Which one is the best? Hard to say, I like mine G300 Shotmiser as its touch screen and has great graphics.

Which one do you think I should buy?

I have been looking at these and thought I could use one but dont know much about them.

Just buy any one Mono because I'm sure in two weeks time you'll be selling it and buying a different one. ;)

The most expensive one you can find, so that when you sell it to replace with a different model in about 7 days time you can recuperate as much money as possible on it ;)

Mono, shouldnt you be at school?

If I hadnt won mine I wouldnt have spent £250 on one, its more of a bonus knowning the exact distance than a rough figure but I can see the added bonus if you play different courses a lot.

Don't want to be picky but they are allowed in pro tournaments. One of the reasons we have got to the stage of allowing them is that the PGA started to allow them in their comps either last year or the one before. All their regional stuff allow them, not sure about those on the Challenge tour??

They are still not allowed on the "main" European Tour on competition days.

I hope english was not one of them!
If you went from not knowing what a GPS device was (there is always google) to wanting to know which on eis best for you, then you dont need one. Save your spare cash, you never know when you might need it for something else.
