Got rid of white headed drivers, are we going to get rid of adjustable clubs?

The white headed drivers where only ever a marketing tool that was well used by TM. That first tournament when they where being used you knew who had a TM driver in their hand. Also players that had contracts for other manafactureres, but used a TM driver with their sponsor headcover on was now showing everyone that they did infact use a TM driver.

I never bought into the white headed drivers, mainly because I didn't enjoy any of the TM offerings. Similarly never bothered with the square headed models as they were clearly a fad. I can see the merits of an adjustable driver although again they don't appeal to me particularly as I am a tinkerer and the temptation would always be there to tamper. At least with my G25 I only have three loft options and to be honest it's been stuck at 10 degrees since the day I got it. Seems to work

I think the adjustable heads will be around for a while yet, however, i'm not convinced they change the lofts/face angles as much as they say they do, I can't see how changing a cog on the neck can alter the loft by 4 degrees in some clubs. The same with heel/toe weights too, I think it will take more like 40+g of weight to affect the ball flight noticeably - with a robotic swing, my laid off, over the top, flippy mess isn't going to notice any difference.

They should fit the head then refuse to sell anyone the tool to make adjustments.. If I see one more 20+ handicapper trying to adjust his new 913 to a draw setting to improve his massive slice I'm going to shoot the dog...

Trouble is it's only a cheap TX drive bolt so a quick trip to a DIY store and buy a set of bits to fit them but no torque control. Soon the club manufacturers will be inundated with people breaking the shaft adapters or snapping the bolts. Not good for PR and would soon get very expensive.
Easier to give them a tool and sell them a new club when theirs "doesn't work" anymore.
