Good news is that I made the cut today in our scratch club champs.

Bad news is that I am lying in 17th place from 21 and 11 strokes of the lead. :-o

I had the opposite last year, lead after day one after mid 70 round and had it all to do on the Sunday, royally messed it up with a round in the 90's

Bad news my 3rd brother in law died a few weeks ago, good news he left me and the misses a right few bob.

81 gross for me , not sure where I finished in the field but the winner was 17 shots better although he wasn't the overnight leader before start of play.

Quite happy that form is slowly starting to come back. Roll on next year.

Hi mate yes I joined Easthampstead. Its cheap and very close to where I live and will do me for the time being.
I really liked East Berks and a couple of members there are also on our committee. Maybe I will make a move when they next waive the joining fee.

BM has gone and the diggers have moved in. A small part of the course (land taken up by holes 2,3 4) will be turned into a 9 hole par 3 course but the rest will become 400+ houses, 3 schools and probably a doctors surgery as well.
