Snuck out for a few holes after the rain.

First tee shot away to see an explosion of feathers 40 yards out, closer inspection and had killed a small bird in flight :o Guess it was quick for it, but still felt bad. On the plus side it did mean i was in the middle of the fairway and went on to par 9 of the 10 holes

Well its not every day that happens!

I've managed to hit a horse at the Bramshaw Forest course in the past but it wasn't a full blown shot as i scuffed the tee shot and it flicked the ground before hitting said horse on the rump! He seemed ok as i passed him.

Blue Tits have Yellow Breast.

Does look like a Tit though.

Marsh or Willow Tit? - hard to tell any difference. Both rather endangered - especially from Golfers!

Not the most pleasant experience is it!

A similar thing happened to a friend of mine a couple of years ago. Hit his ball into a tree and a pigeon fell out. Dead of course.

Blue tit or a Coal tit I think, the only ones with a black collar, a better photo of the head would have helped with identification.

What r the rules of hitting wildlife on the course... Can you take it home and make a stew or is that for the guys in the group behind?
