I've been playing quite a bit of golf these last few weeks, quite often including a couple of rounds a day and when added to going to the gym trying to get fitter for golf I'm completely knackered at present.

I recently played the club champ's over 36 holes on a hot day and was getting tired and stiff at the end of the day.

I played 27 holes in a works do last week and was knackered by the end.

Add these to the fact that I get a bad lower back, I have been contemplating getting an electric trolley.

Can I ask what trolleys you all have (make & model) and whether you would recommend them?

Sounds to me like you are playing too much and not giving the batteries a chance to recover.

I have a push trolley (Twinline 3) so cant comment on these new fangled leccy things

Fragger :D

I've got the same as Murph and am quite happy with mine - I think he's got a Friday afternoon or Monday morning model.

My mates got a Motocaddy S3 Digital and it has been back 3 times to Motocaddy. Shows that you can have issues with any make - just ask Qwerty about his Powakaddy that Murph had to fix with tape. hang on there seems to be a theme here Murph is around - Electric Trollies fail to work properly/break.

Go Kart, great machine with legendry after sales back up. Goes like a rocket and is stable on hills as well as being on the cheaper end of the scale. Check them out on their web site

Motocaddy S3 - love it 4 yrs old - but tbh I would get the S1 if I was buying again the extras are all a load of b0))0x

And my course is very hilly - it is very stable and seems to be better with batteries than other leccie trollies.

GoKart, had mine 2 weeks and it's an absolute god send. Stable, fast, reliable, easy to put together, easy to pack up and doesn't cost as much as others. Look no further...also you get a chance to earn some credit with them by recommending the kart to people, so if you buy one, put me down as your referral, you'll get credit as well as myself and then anyone else you recommend it to who buys one will also earn you credit towards accessories and/or batteries.

Powakaddy - had it 3 seasons without a single hitch, save for a new battery.

Buy cheap,....buy twice, its true.

they do make a difference, unless u want to be all 'macho' and carry/push/pull for the sake of it.

depending if you have a certain price range. and depending if youre back could take it maybe you could go for the more traditional push trolley. if not motocaddy s1 or powakaddy

Go kart all the way. You can usually get 36 holes out of the normal sized battery (unless the course is particularly hilly) although not to be recommended. on a regular basis. However for a single round it will cope with any course with ease. There is an upgrade due out soon too featuring some form of touch sensitive operation (their website explains it fully)

Thanks for the info folks.
I'll have a word with my pro to see what offers he can do on those mentioned.

It would seem Motocaddy & GoCart seem popular, and never let Murph near any of them ;)

It's hard to choose without getting quite a few opinions as you get such varied feedback. If you just listened to 1 owner of each model you might never buy any of them!
