Golfing goals for the new year

1. Break through into the world top 50, then top 30
2. Play well at the Masters
3. Win the US Open
4. Hole the winning putt at the Ryder Cup
5. See off Tiger in his own tournament by sinking a 20footer at the 1st playoff hole....

Yeh, Yeh.... as if!

Hmm, tough one, as I'm not sure when I will be playing again this year with a newborn at home.

I guess it would be to play more consistently which means not trying to play stupid shots from impossible lies, being more strategic on the course (not taking driver on every driving hole and using the newly acquired 3 wood more etc...)

I've shot 85 around our course before our first one came along (but before I was playing in medals) so know I can get my handicap down to 20 or below with some application, but we'll have to see how the home situation goes!!! :)

So, in short, just try and get my hcap as low as poss.

Will be tough especially as there will be no Ryder Cup in 2011 :D

2010 was a poor year so keep it modest

find out who's stealing all our swings
get a majority of medals played without 0.1's
stay fit enough through the year to play Goswick 3
keep the spending to essentials - new balls please!

pray the game comes together and get that cut (2.1 will do!)

make the break to a new club

Join a club is my goal. Not sure if I will manage it. They are choosy and the joining fee is significant! Age and handicap are on my side though......

Handicap under 18 is the first goal, getting it low enough to not be accused of Banditry at the next Goswick meet is goal number 2.

I hope to build on last years performance and get down around 7,if not then would be happy to stay where I am.

Will be tough to get lower as I don't practise at all, may need to think about spending some time at the range etc. :(

well I could be breaking number 4! I'm in love with AP2's. Not been fitted for them - yet - but the pro rigged one up with a Project X 5.0 so I could hit a bunch of balls and I only had one off centre. oh dear!
